Julie graduated from UCLA with Honors in 1986, and obtained her Juris Doctorate Degree in June of 1989 from Southwestern University School of Law. She was admitted to the State Bar of California in December of 1989, the U.S. District Court in the Central District of California, and the Ninth Circuit of the U.S. Court of Appeals. Julie started her career representing professional basketball players in contract negotiations with the NBA and since has represented safety members and their families for 20 years in workers' compensation, personal injury, disability retirement and employment issues. Julie has drafted workers' compensation legislation on behalf of police unions and testified before the California State Senate and Assembly. She is a Certified Specialist in Workers' Compensation Law and is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and California Applicants’ Attorneys Association. Julie has recently been appointed President of the Los Angeles Valley Applicants’ Attorneys Association and was selected to Southern California Super Lawyers 2009.
